  • ABOUT | CLLAIMM Academy

OUR MISSION & VISION CLLAIMM ACADEMY© is committed to preparing early and youthful learners for success while growing and maturing in their discipleship with Christ. . IT IS THE VISION OF (MCA) TO BECOME A LEADER IN DEVELOPING AND IMPLEMENTING PROGRAMS TO HELP CHILDREN DISCOVER THEIR GOD’S GIVEN TALENTS AND PURPOSE WITH A WELL-ROUNDED FOCUSED ACADEMIC AND LIFE SKILL STRATEGY CALLED CLLAIMM Our Story The CLLAIMM Academy Model® was created by Dr. Marena Simmons-Jones, the author and founder of Special Touch Learning Day Care and Learning Academies. Since 1995, her vision has been to provide children and families with a rich early learning experience—something far more meaningful than simple babysitting. Over the years, Dr. Simmons-Jones has built a legacy of excellence in early childhood education. She co-founded Special Touch Day Care #1 in 1995, helped establish Special Touch Learning Academy School in 2001, opened Special Touch Home School/Childcare #2 in 2003, and in 2017, played a role in starting Four Corners Academy in Vallejo, California. From these experiences, she developed the seven fundamentals of the CLLAIMM® early childhood education model, rooted in decades of hands-on teaching and care. Dr. Simmons-Jones also brings a strong academic background. She holds an Associate of Science in Criminal Justice–Law Enforcement and Corrections, a Certificate in Early Childhood Development, a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management, a Master of Education in Organizational Leadership, and a Doctorate in Religious Education.

  • MARENA'S PURPOSE | CLLAIMM Academy

MARENA'S PURPOSE CLLAIMM ACADEMY is a Bible-based, Christ-centered, academic/play-based, hands-on school grounded and rooted in the love of God. The goal of CLLAIMM ACADEMY is to establish a learning environment where students receive a strong Christian foundation leading them to a successful and balanced life. Each program supports the self-discovery of each student's natural interests and God-given gifts. Organization & School Philosophy CLLAIMM ACADEMY (MCA) is a unique educational provider in its philosophy, structure, and curriculum. The philosophy of CLLAIMM Preschool and Childcare Academy is to create an environment involving a Christian foundation and high academic success through assessment and evaluation, exploration, and support of studentself-discovery. Also, a rigorous and enriching academic foundation coupled with early childhood leadership training, life-skills development, and apprenticeship programs and financial awareness and literacy integrated into the program curriculum. The CLLAIMM model Childcare foundational structure was formed through Special Touch Learning ACADEMY along with years of experience, which was founded by Dr Marena Simmons Jones. She recognized the need for a preschool and school-age child care program overhaul. The CLLAIMM© ACADEMY programs are developed to support children with various learning styles, including kinesthetic, visual, auditory, and verbal while promoting innovative approaches to early childhood education and before and after care programs. “Studies show that young learners in North America are struggling to keep up with their peers abroad… the [American] education system’s major flaw [is] — the tendency toward standardization in teaching and learning.” (Christensen, 2008) In response to this research and the observations of Dr Marena Simmons-Jones, MCA will be fundamentally different from the traditional and standardized teaching and childcare styles of the past. Marena's Mission of MCA is to provide a safe, quality learning experience for all children while building character, integrity, and spiritual growth. CLLAIMM ACADEMY ENDEAVORS ARE TO EMPOWER CHILDREN OF GODS LOVE AND PURPOSE FOR THEIR LIVES BY PROVIDING AN EXCEPTIONAL STRATEGY FROM A BIBLICAL PERSPECTIVE. THIS ALLOWS EACH CHILD SPIRITUALLY, SOCIALLY, ACADEMICALLY, AND PHYSICALLY TO UNDERSTAND THEIR PURPOSE IN THEIR LIVES. This is accomplished by utilizing the CLLAIMM® childhood educational model, an ACADEMY and life skills-based methodology built on biblical principles and Christian foundations of faith.
